Miscellaneous

Ok so this is a miscellaneous (sp?) post.  Since my last post was on Monday, I feel behind and like I just have been so busy with everything.  This week really flew for me.  I was pretty relieved that I did not have to go to Cahokia for observations on Thursday, so I treated myself to a much needed day at the mall with E.  Dont get me wrong, I love being with those little angels, but they were on Spring Break and I really enjoyed my time off as I'm sure they did as well.  Friday night C and I went over to Callie's house for game night..very unexpected but also a lot of fun!! We played the game of scategories which to my understanding C cannot play without incorporating some dirty word or slang with any of the letters that were rolled.  Wow, I really cant take him anywhere.  haha.  Im just kidding I really do love the kid and he always has something witty to say.  Saturday I had to work all day and was just thoroughly exhausted afterwards.  Im not really sure why, because my job is not tiresome but with the weather being dull and SNOWY, I was not feeling it.  After work, I had a date night with my mom.  She took me to Wasabi for dinner, which I absolutley love, and then we headed to Kohls afterwards.  I always enjoy some mother-daughter time. 

Today C and I had an interesting day attending each other's churches.  C was raised Baptist and I Catholic,  so it was a very unique experience for both of us.  Im just glad we finally got to attend each other's churches and see each other in another light.  Even though C does not attend his church faithfully, I now get a better understanding of his religious background.  Although to him my service was definitly a work out with all the standing and sitting we do, I think he too understood my religion better.

Overall, it was a very low-key weekend and very uneventful.  As the count down continues....10 MORE DAYS til 21!

Offical day of Spring!

Today is the official first day of Spring and it is such a gorgeous day, the sun is shinning there is a slight breeze in the air, and the birds are chirpping.  Spring has finally arrived and hopefully will stay. So to recap from my last blog post, Saturday night..I did finally find something to do.  C decided to have people over at his house and it was really a lot of fun.  I actually might have had a little TOO much fun, considering the day I had yesterday.  There was quite a large crowd at C's on Sat. more than usual which made it even better.  Yesterday I continued to do homework and went to bed extremely early, but it felt sooo good to catch up on sleep.  Even though tonight I will probably not be able to. 

Starting today I am going to start a count down to my birthday!! 16 more days! :)

I wish I could change the state of the economy, and help C get a full time lineman position!! Although, I know im going to be in the same situation he is now within the next year.

The Waiting Game

I absolutely HATE waiting around for things to do.  I am extremely bored out of my mind right now waiting on finding something to do tonight.  Im all dressed and did my hair, but no where to go.  So while I am waiting I am going to do some more 30 day challenge pictures.  10 more pictures and I am done!!

I wish I was more coordinated to do sports.  Haha I played soccer for 2 years but it was YMCA soccer and thats not saying much.  Both of my younger brothers are very talented in sports, but I however, did not manage to get that trait in my gene pool. 

Hello Spring!

Its about time we get some beautiful weather like this! :)

Although today was a lil rocky because it did pour for about 20 min. at work, but then disappeared and the sun decided to peak out for a lil while.  Last night was St. Patty's day and C and I had not spent time with each other all week so we decided to go out to eat.  We ended up at 54th Street, which is ridiculous to get into normally, so I figured it would be packed, especially on St. Pats.  But at 6:15 it actually wasnt too bad.  We only had to wait 10 minutes and we got right in.  We had an amazing dinner MMMM I always love me some gringo dip and chips :) and C enjoyed a nice Green beer! A lil sad I could not join him, but next year I will be able to.

After dinner, we headed back to C's house for JERSEDAY!! Those of you who do not know what Jerseday is, it is the night that Jersey Shore comes on!! haha.  I thouroughly enjoy that show.  It was a great date night after not seeing each other all week.  After the week I've had, I was in desperate need of some quality time with the boyfriend.

Happy Hump Day!

Happy Wednesday all!! Wednesdays are my favorite days of the week, simply because they are the right smack down in the middle.  And after Wednesday shortly comes the weekend!!

So after my dreadful day on Monday, I woke up yesterday feeling terribly blah...I dont really know what blah even feels like but it was not fun.  I tried my hardest to get ready for school but just could not do it without feeling really dizzy and overly heated.  I felt like I needed to throw up, but never did.  I emailed my teachers and ended up not attending school.  What a start to the week.  Geesh..  However, I was feeling better by the time work rolled around.  After work I came home and slept nearly 11 hours.  Very much needed!! Today I was very relaxed and felt 10x better.  I hate feeling sick.

This was from my birthday last year! Cant believe I am already going to be 21 here pretty soon.  It sure does go fast.

Hahaha!! I just found this picture on mom's computer.  It made me laugh so hard so I thought I would share :).  We dressed Grover up for Halloween and took him to the parade.

No More SNOW!

I woke up today to head back to school, and what do I wake up to???  A heavy duty snowfall!!! What the heck?  MORE snow??....Snow in March is just out of the ordinary and after the great weather this past weekend I am in spring mode.  So lets spring forward and bring on the warm weather! :) 

Today was my first day back at school...definitly was not what I like to call a good first day back.  After listening to my economics teacher lecture about how much debt the U.S. is in, I had a break between classes.  My other teacher approaches me with the group project I turned in before break and says that me and my partner forgot to include a section.  Ugh....so she continues to tell me that as of now we will get a 0 on that part of the project unless we turn it in...but will not receive full credit.  Well partial credit is better than none, so after working at the daycare, I came home and quickly typed it up and sent it to her.  Group projects are such a pain in the butt!! 

So then I go to my night class and see that everyone has a typed paper on their desk.  Not recollecting that anything was due today in that class.  After the realization that there WAS something due, I quickly wrote out a brief description of what was to be collected.  When the teacher came around to collect the papers, she noticed that the kid in front of me and mine were  both hand written.  She says that neither one of them were acceptable because they were not typed out!!! What a bunch of CRAP!  She then states that because we both took the time to do it we will only recieve half credit, but not full since it was not fully typed.  WOW...SIUE you were not missed over the last 7 days. 

What a day.....Im really hoping tomorrow goes better and that I can manage to receive FULL credit on whatever is assigned. 

Well at least the forecast looks promising 70 on Thursday!!!

Lazy, Lazy, Lazy

Today has been one heck of a lazy day for me.  I slept in til 10 but it was really 11 because of the time change..that was nice :) My mother and I ran some errands around town and went tanning afterwards.  Ahh relaxation.  Came home, did some homework and cleaned out my shoes.  Not very eventful, but very much needed on my last day off.  Tomorrow its back to school and back to work at the daycare.  Hopefully this week flies by.  The sunshine this weekend has been absolutely AMAZING! It puts me in such a better mood!  COME ON SPRING!

I have been zip-lining before, but I was too chicken to complete the entire course.  I would like to get up the courage to go again and do the entire thing.

This night was such a blast!! We went and bought matching shirts, did makeup and just took random pictures the entire time.  Love you girls!

Goodbye social life..Hello last few weeks of HELL

I am really dreading going back to school on Monday.  I just cant believe that Spring Break is already over.  I didnt open one single book all week nor did I even acknowledge the fact that I have homework.  Not looking forward to getting back on track after tomorrow.  For me, school is extremely exhausting.  I am just so worn out by the end of the day, and the education program just keeps piling on more projects, not fun.  Last night C and I had a fun night in,we went out to dinner at Bull and Bear and then went to blockbuster and rented a few movies, that are already due back Monday.  How is that possible to watch three movies by Monday??  Although we did manage to watch two of them last night.  Due Date and The Town, both I would definilty recommend!! Especially The Town, I was not thrilled to watch it because I am not very good with bloody movies, but once C turned it on I was hooked!!!

Break

Ummm....breaks from school fly by wayyy too quickly....its already Wednesday and my spring break is half way over.  Its been extremely exhausting..taking care of two dogs, a teenager, and keeping up with the house...jeesh!! The parentals come home tonight, so I am pretty excited about that...I can come and go as I please once again.

This is a tuffy...I listen to all kinds of music...but I will say there is ONE band I will always love....

Thats right!! No other than the BSB!!!  Gosh I was obsessed with them back in the day.  Listening to them brings back such great memories.

Mi madre! She is my best friend and we have such a great relationship.  If it werent for her I would not be the person I am.

YUCK! I absolutlely hate snakes with a passion.  Just looking at this picturemakes me cringe!

they look all cuddly and cute...but they are NASTY creatures.  Especially if you live out in the country and they continue to get in the house...just the thought of one scampering across my floor gives me goosebumps.

A day of shopping always brightens everything up.  Im starting to think that I may have a "tiny" bit of a problem...On a day that I am stressed, spending money lets all my troubles fade away.

Crazyyyy

This weekend has been nothing but nuts!! My parentals are out of town until Wednesday so it has been just crazy around here.  I dont know how my parents do it, stay up with the laundry, watch the dogs, clean up everything, and keep track of everyone!! This whole grown-up thing is exhausting!!

Last night I went out with some friends for dinner and then we met up with E for icecream!! YUMM.  Afterwards we all met up with C and one of his friends and headed to Highland.  In Highland we went to a bar called Broadway.  When we first got there it was pretty empty..but by the end of the night the place was pretty packed.  There was a dj and strobe light it was a really great time!! We danced the night away and had a fantastic time.

My partner in crime.. my best friend, E!! We always know how to have a good time.  She's such a great friend.  Too bad our crazy schedules dont allow us to see each other more often.  :(

Where does time go?

Time flies by so fast.  I feel like this week has just flown for me.  Thank goodness..because next week is my SPRING break!! Yay! Although, while everyone else is lying on a beach somewhere tropical, I will spending my time housesitting, and watching my younger brother while my parents are away.  Some spring break...  At least it will be stress free and free of homework!!
