Welcome Home

Our sweet baby boy made his arrival October 27 at 8:48 pm. Weighing in at 7 pounds 1 ounce and 19 inches long. We are simply smitten with this little guy.

Waiting

By now it is a waiting game. Which I am an extremely impatient person anyway so these last couple of days are KILLING me!! We have been getting everything we can done around the house so we don't need to worry about it once baby boy is here. I have been feeling some inconsistent contractions and am hardly dilated. Still feeling hopeful baby K will arrive on his own soon!! 

Anyway we've taken it pretty easy the past couple of weeks, but here's a few pictures. 

At the beginning of the month bae was in a wedding.

We are still trekking along and awaiting baby boys arrival. We have finally seen some fall weather this week which I couldn't be happier about. Our weekends are filling up more and more which will hopefully make the weeks go by quicker as we approach our due date.

Saturday night we went to the hot air balloon glow. I always enjoy getting out and doing something in our local community!

I am very blessed to have some talented friends. One in particular does photography on the side and does a great job! She has done quite a few photo sessions for us in the past and this weekend she did our maternity photos.

Back to Work

A week before school started I got my job back for the year. I was moved to another school in another grade. It was a crazy week getting everything together. But I am really enjoying this transition. It's been a really good start to the school year!

I am now going to my doctor visits every 2 weeks. And we had our birthing class last Saturday and feel a little more knowledgeable of what to expect. We have a few things left to do before we can say we are officially ready, but we are so close! 

Eventful Weekend

My cousin and his wife came down to visit this past weekend and stayed with us. It was fun having guests stay with us and hosting for a few days. Because of the weather our plans to go out on the lake quickly got squashed. So we decided to take the Anheuser-Busch brewery tour. Even though I didn't get to sample anything it was very neat and interesting.

It was a good way to end my summer vacation. Back into a routine tomorrow. It was nice while it lasted. :) 

Our Pregger Kegger

The hubs insisted on having a couples baby shower and I couldn't turn down the eagerness. The only problem was trying to find a place big enough to house everyone. I wanted to do it a little earlier due to not having to worry about it once school started. So we figured with the weather we could have it out at Cs moms. With some weekends and work it was ready to go! We lucked out on the weather as well. It wasn't miserably hot as it very well could have been in August. It turned out to be a nice evening celebrating our little Bae. 

We are in the final stretch here. Our third trimester is undergo and we are currently 11 weeks out from welcoming baby boy! 

Laziness

So much for trying to post more right? Ha. I guess I have been lazy in that aspect. 

To be honest we really have hardly left our house. C has been called out for work every week this whole month. The only exciting thing we've really done is take the boat out a few times. The weather here has been so incredibly hot, it's really hard to want to do anything outside.

Friday I will be 27 weeks which is the last week of my 2nd trimester. I cannot believe how fast this pregnancy has been going! We are so anxious and cannot wait for our little man to get here! 

It's a Boy!

I never shared the news on my little blog that Baby Burns is a BOY! We are so excited and cannot wait to meet him in just a few months! 

We have passed up halfway in the pregnancy and are currently 22 weeks. Baby boy has been kicking/moving like crazy and it is so crazy beyond words to explain it! And hubs and I officially witnessed seeing movement for the first time a couple nights ago.

Graze in the Grass

Last Saturday night, my cousin put on an event in our favorite little town of Greenville. It took place on a farm, a dairy farm to be exact. Who would've ever thought we'd be eating with the cows! It was hot but all the great food made up for that.

Memorial Day

So with having time off this summer, it is a goal to get back into blogging more. I can see that I have already been slacking. 

Anywho, our Memorial Day was fun and relaxing! It was the perfect weather to enjoy the lake and the boat and time with friends and family. 

We got up early Sunday to get it cleaned up and ready to go for the day. It was so nice to be back on the water enjoying our little community in our own backyard. 

Memorial Day marks the official first weekend of summer for most, and we had a great time welcoming summer that weekend. I can't wait for many more weekends being out on the water. 

Time is Flying

My my has time flown by us. I am officially on summer break and enjoying time off and relaxing as much as I can before little Bae makes it arrival. We have a lot to do this summer to get everything ready! And I can't wait! 

The "3" of us attended out first wedding of the season on Friday. It was a really pretty set up and couldn't have turned out better. 

I'm on my 18wk of pregnancy and have hit my 5 month mark. We are nearly half way there! 😃

Exciting News

Wow, it's been a while since my last post. And although we haven't been up to much, we have some exciting news to share. We are going to have a baby!! Baby Burns is expected to arrive this October, and we couldn't be happier! 

We truly lucked out with timing and how everything has worked out. I truly believe that things do happen for a reason and when you least expect them. 

I am extremely type A and a little OCD, and already obsessing on what all needs to be done.. Good thing I have all summer to worry about that.

Life Lately: Through My Camera Roll

I will admit, things around here have been extremely low key. We rarely go out and do much anymore. But here are some exciting things that have been going on. 

The day before Easter we bought this beauty! My new vehicle! I really can't believe it's actually mine! 

Because of the new ride, we sold my olld one within a week. Was sad to see her go. 

We celebrated my 26 birthday on Wednesday. I am blessed by what all God has provided for me. Friends, Family, career. I cannot wait to see all the big and exciting things 26 has to bring! 

Countertops/Backsplash

It's been a while! Since my last post we have continued on with renovations. We are almost done upstairs!! We recently just got our countertops done and this past weekend we did our backsplash. 

We are so happy and thrilled with the outcome. All that's left is the remaining appliances.
