Stylebook

I just recently downloaded this app I found through another blog. It is called Stylebook. You take real clothing items from your closet and you can create different outfits using those pieces. I love it! Unfortunately this app is not free. But it is definitely worth the $3.99! I am inspired to create more fun looks and especially from things in my own closet!

Here are two looks that I have played around with so far. The first one is your basic black with pops of camel and beige I am a new fan of these two colors together!

The next is pretty much the same outfit just with a different top to add some color. This minty color is definitely the new color of spring. If your into fashion and trying new looks I would definitely recommend trying out Stylebook!

Monday Blues

Like everyone else in the world I absolutely hate Mondays! Its when reality sinks in and we are back in the work week. You can tell even with my kiddos at work that they are just over it being the beginning of the week.

After work today I went and got my GT on (those of you that didn't watch Jersey Shore that stands for Gym and Tan). I am so tired of being pale so I caved and got myself a package. It feels so good to do those things for myself!

Let's Go Blues

Last night C, I and a close friend of ours Z, attended our first Blues game of the season.  It was part of C's birthday present and Im pretty sure we all had a great time! The game was filled with action and intensity which made it even better. We even brought home a win!

After the game we stopped into Joe Buck's for a beer.  None of us had been in there before and we were all pretty impressed.  We then called it a night and headed home.  To say the least, I think C's birthday weekend was a success.  Good thing these don't happen too often because my bank account is suffering! Bad news for him is mine is coming up next. ;)

Let's Get Crackin

It turns out that C did not have to leave me again! He was on call Thursday night until 6:30 and then made it home safely.  I am very relieved that he didn't have to go.  We went out to dinner last night for C's birthday.  He picked me up from work and we headed straight to Fairview so we could get a table earlier.  Even at 5:30 there was still an hour wait to get in to Red Lobster, so we ended up at Joe's Crab Shack.  I like RL a lot better and feel like they give you more for your money but Joe's last night did the trick.  After dinner we came home and went our separate ways for a little while.  C was meeting up with his friends and I went to see Safe Haven with a friend.  I had heard mixed reviews about this movie but if you want my opinion I liked it! It definitely had me holding back tears a couple of times throughout.  I also liked that it wasn't your typical "chick flick" there is an unexpected twist in the story line that makes it even that much better.

The birthday festivities continue on tonight; we are heading to STL for the Blues game.  I am super pumped, I haven't been to one since the season started.  I hope there is some action!

Winter Weather Advisory

Hello Snow!

I'm pretty sure I might be the only one that is loving this weather right now! We have been under a winter weather advisory for a wintery mix all week and it just hit us this morning. I had to go in to work until 1:00 and got stuck driving in some pretty snow sleet mix. C got called out AGAIN last night and left this morning...he doesn't even know where he is being sent this time.. They said he'd only be gone up to 5 days.. Worst part is today is his birthday... I guess that's when you know your officially an adult working out of town on your birthday? I guess we will have to celebrate when he returns.

The rest of this afternoon consists of some much needed quality time with the iPad and a cup of hot green tea.

Sunday Shuffle

Today was a nice relaxing and enjoyable day.  It started out by going to church with my mom and followed up by a nice shopping trip to Kohls.  I always go with her to just "look" and end up coming out with some good finds.  They had a lot on sale this time around plus we had 30% off! Double whammy!

The rest of the day consisted of lounging on the couch and cleaning up the abode.   Just got home from having dinner at the parentals, always so nice catching up with them!

Last night was a pretty low key night for us. Since C had just gotten home we ordered pizza and watched some reruns of Duck Dynasty. Now that's what I call a exciting night! It couldn't have been better!

Today we headed out to the Galleria to get C's phone fixed. Turns out he is better off getting a new one rather than fixing his current one.. So he decided to wait it out. We did manage to look around and do some shopping! New shoes for him a new VS pink hoodie for me :) Almost splurged a little on some shoes.. I may or may not be regretting it now.. Oh well. Even though we drove all that way for practically nothing it was great quality time with my guy!

Thank goodness it's Friday! This week has been crazy with my new schedule and all. I must say I was a little bummed that I couldn't spend the day with my Valentine but he sure did make up for it! He sent me flowers and chocolates to work and he got my a new coat while he was away. Love him! So blessed

Even though I didn't have C to spend the day with I did have my BFF E! She came over after work and we watched Magic Mike while we vegged out on Imos and relaxed! Such a great way to end the day.

C comes home today! I'm so pumped! I'm looking forward to spending time with him his evening.

I ordered a new rug for the bedroom and it came in this week! I love it!

Spring has Arrived

Spring has arrived at our little abode. Since C is gone I decided to clean the house and add some little spring decor pieces. I went to run some errands and stopped at Michaels and found some great little pieces. Such as the little owl salt and pepper shakers shown below and the cute spoon holder. I also DIY the vase the spring flowers are in and just painted the lil milk jugs that we got to take home from Kel's shower. Super fun!

Yesterday after work my friend Callie and I headed up to Worden for their annual Wordigras. It was a pretty good time. I would much rather celebrate Mardi Gras there then go to StL; still crowded but not nearly as many people!

I can't believe this weekend is already over. Tomorrow is my first 8-5 day, a little anxious to see how that goes.

Yay! It's Friday!

This week flew by.

Wednesday night Casey got news that he was to go on storm work out east to work. I was totally bummed ESP because they are calling for so much snow and he's going to be so far away.. They gave him an estimated time of 7-10 days that he'll be gone.. Yuck! I hate it when he's gone.

Yesterday I received news that as of Monday I will be going full time at the daycare. I am pleased to know that I will be secure but on the other hand I'm kinda sad that I am growing up.. So many changes going on this week!!

Tonight I am going to a trivia fundraiser once I get done babysitting. It should be fun! Even though I am terrible I enjoy going.

A little DIY

I have been feeling very inspired to do some "crafty" things around the house lately.  So today after work I decided to fulfill the need and do some little things to spruce up some empty space.  I had bought some wooden frames from Michaels a while back so I finally painted them with springy colors and found some printables online to put in them.  Here's what I ended up with...

(sorry for the horrible quality) the printable inside the yellow frame says "Gravitation is not responsible for people falling in love."

The chevron picture I painted a while back.  Not sure I like it but I felt like it needed something else.  I feel like the painting needs some glitter added to it. 

This one is right by our front door.  I really like the way this one turned out.  It says "This home is filled with love."  

Still many more things to do around the little abode.  Hoping to organize the office/front room this weekend..I'll post some pics when its picture worthy! 

Super Bowl Sunday

I hope everyone enjoyed their Super Bowl Sunday as much as we did!

It started out by going to church.  I even got C to get up and go with me.  After church we ran to Walmart to get the ingredients for the chili C was wanting.  I ended up taking it to Callie's where we watched the game.

It was another eventful day.  I like when my weekends are jammed with fun stuff! Sadly they fly by too quickly.

Baby Showers and Jello Shots?

Yesterday was a very eventful day. Started out by going to hot yoga. This time was a lot rougher than the last. But none the less I still felt great afterwards. Then I came home and got ready for a special girls baby shower! It was unbelievably cute and I don't think it could've been any better! Can't wait to meet lil Gia when she arrives.

After the shower E and I decided to make some Jell-O shots for the big game today. We tried to be cute and make red and purple ones for the participating teams but no one had grape Jell-O. Oh well. Once the shots were made we headed out to Hamel to Weezes for a few drinks. The night ended with some snow and some Buckwild! Haha what great way to end a Saturday night!

Valentines for my Valentine

I'm not usually a big Valentines Day person but this year I wanted to do something a little different. C and I normally don't get each other much or if anything at all so I decided to do the 14 days of Valentines for him. Of course I didn't come up with this myself. I may have had a little help from my best friend, Pinterest.

But Each day up until the 14th you give your special one a sweet treat with a cute little saying that goes along with that treat. I hope I can keep up with this! Haha but here is day 1.
