I've really enjoyed these last couple of days I've had off. I just love the cozy/warm feel of my house with the Christmas decor up. This truly is the best time of the year!

Tis the Season

I started decorating the lil abode today for Christmas. I may be a little early but I just love this holiday so much! I've been listening to Christmas music since Halloween and it still hasn't gotten old. Since I don't have a fireplace or mantle I decided to use my big window in my living room to hang my stockings and garland on. I really like how it turned out.  I can't wait to get my tree this week and get started on decorating it! 

Dinner Date

Since C is out of town for work, my lovely friends asked me if I wanted to get dinner last night. We ate at Cleveland and Heath which is always delicious. It was so nice to catch up with them it's such a bummer we don't get to hang out together more often.

Little Abode: Basement

So I'm sad to say I don't have any of our before pictures from what our basement used to look like. My phone had went caput on me a while back and I lost everything. But I will say this basement has really done a complete 360. 

Our pallet couch C had made a while ago. Finally found some cushioning (futon mattresses) that really complete the look. The coffee table? A whiskey barrel from Home Depot!! 

I still need to get a cover for our pillow. 

I really like what this space has turned into. It's a great place for entertaining and just hanging out. 

OOTD

Here was my outfit of the day for all that went on yesterday. Church, errands, baby shower, etc. 

C and I may or may not have already exchanged our Christmas gifts, hehe. So I put mine to good use this weekend!

Mixed up

This weekend was all sorts of things. It included family time, sports, fun, relaxation and departing.. Friday night we hosted a lil dinner party with my parents and cousin and her boyfriend. It was nice to make dinner for people and enjoy time just talking around the table. 

Saturday I went with a friend to try on some bridesmaid dresses for her wedding. Then came home and got ready for the blues game. It was a pretty good game. 

Today I went to church and ran a few errands. Then came home to find out that C was leaving me for storm work. Sad that he leaves for a couple days but I know he is working to support us. Later this afternoon I attended a baby shower and then met my rents for dinner. It was a busy and mixed up weekend for us.   

Little Abode: Master Bedroom

I really like the rustic/vintage feel of things. So when my cousin offered a door to me for the house I couldn't pass it up. I had seen on Pinterest them being used for all sorts of things. I decided to use ours as a headboard. I love it! Here is our master room. It's a little small but what room in our home isn't? I like the cozy feel it gives off. 

Little Abode: Spare Bedroom

I've posted some pics of my spare bedroom before. We put the two twin beds in there because two of our friends were single at the time. Well now they hardly ever stay so it's pretty pointless. I eventually want to put a full in this room since it rarely ever gets used. But it is what it is for now. 

There's a lot of junk on the other side of the room and I didn't want to show you guys that. Haha 

Little Abode: Living Room

Ok, so here is our living room. I am still not sold on the paint color I chose. But I am just not in the mood to paint it again. Haha. Other than that what we've got going on in this space.

Little Abode: Bathroom

So next Monday marks our first full year of being in our little abode. I've done quiet a bit to this place since we've moved in. I took some pics to share. I'll show each room one post at a time. Today's room: the bathroom. Now this space needed a lot of TLC when we first moved in, and don't get me wrong it still could use a lot of work. I unfortunately don't have any before pics but here is what it looks like currently. 

 

It is an extremely tiny space. But for us it works for the time being. 

Camo & Aqua?

Yup! I paired this super bright aqua scarf with this new Camo sweatshirt I scored on the clearance rack at Kohls this weekend. What do you think? I'm actually digging this combo.

I may be slightly obsessed with my Jeggings. I just can't get enough of them. They are so comfortable and great with boots! 

Casual pairings

Yesterday was the perfect day to bum around town and get some stuff done while my lil "farmer" fiancé was helping some friends. I met up with the rents for breakfast and then my mom and I went to Michaels and then to Kohls. Here's my comfy yet casual outfit to wore for errands.

Loafers

I busted out my loafers this weekend for a dinner date with a friend. I absolutely love these loafers I got a couple years ago. They were an awesome deal and are lined with fur! Perfect for those chilly fall evenings.
