A Year in Review: 2013

Another year is now behind us.  I can't believe how fast it is all going.  We really need to slow down and take it all in.  Everyone always says just take it day by day and appreciate all the minor things in life.  That is exactly how I feel this year has been.  Things haven't exactly gone according to plan as far as my career path but as of right now I am just taking it day by day and hoping something bigger and better will eventually come my way.  When I first thought about all that happened this year I didn't really think it had been all that exciting.  But once I really started thinking and thought about everything, I realized we had a pretty eventful and fun year.

Heres a lil recap:

January-We rang in the new year with the fam and friends.

February- Celebrated C's 23rd at one of his favorite places, Scott Trade Center.

March- Had a low key Easter with C's side of the fam.

April-Celebrated my 23rd with great friends and family at my favorite winery, Copper Dock.

May-Traveled to Florida with my mom for a girls trip.

June- C surprised me with these cuties, and we became parents to two wild pups.

July- We had our first of three weddings together of the summer.

August- We did a lil weekend getaway in the Ozarks with friends.

September- Attended a fundraiser to help fight cancer in memory of C's dad.

October- Had our engagement pictures done. Love how they turned out!

November- Attended several Blues games and had a tremendous Thanksgiving!

December- Took our first Christmas Card picture and survived the Holidays together.

Cant wait to see what all 2014 has in store for us! It will be a joyous year since we will finally be tying the knot in September as well as witness many of our friends do the same.

Cheers! Hope everyone has a fantastic and safe New Years Eve!

Quiet

It was a very quiet weekend for us here. Friday night we did absolutely nothing. It was kinda nice. Saturday was spent cleaning up around the house, knocking some more save the dates out, and running a few errands. Saturday night we got dinner with a friend and came back to watch the blues game. Nothing too exciting.

Today was spent going to church, grabbing brunch with my daddio, and getting my bridesmaid dress for a friends wedding. Now it's time for some relaxation for the rest of the afternoon. Maybe hitting up the gym later.

Here is an outfit I wore over the holiday week that I never posted.

Christmas Day through Pics

In my last post I said I didn't take any pictures of Christmas Day. Well I really didn't, but my mom did so I took these from her. Here was our joyful day!

Put this guy on a leash and he immediately lays on the floor. Soo stubborn!

Not sure what was going on. Haha love candids

My parents got their gran-dogs these big bones.

Of course Grover was hiding by the tree to stay away from my dogs. He hates them.

The best gift anyone could ask for!! My wedding shoes! I'm pretty sure I have the best parents ever!

Eventful

These past couple of days have been so crazy. I'm sure they have for all of you as well. It's just so exhausting once everything is over. I just can't believe Christmas is already over. We bust our butts to get everything done and then in one day its all over. I guess that's how it works though. I am bummed. We had a fabulous Christmas as we usually do. My parents seriously spoil us too much! But I'm not going to deny that I don't love it!

All the Lauchner girl cousins.

Grandma and all her grandkids

I realized these are all from Christmas Eve. Yesterday was just so crazy that I completely forgot to take any pics. Hope everyone had a great day! Back to the grind today... Blah I hate it.

Merry Christmas Eve

Merry Christmas Eve all! Can't believe another year is coming to a close. Time is just speeding past us. As I write this post I am waiting on the rents to come pick me up for a day of family togetherness at my grandmas. C is unfortunately working today so he won't be joining us until tonight for church. I hope everyone has a fabulous Christmas!

Ugly Christmas Sweaters

Last night C and I had our very first ugly Christmas sweater get together. I was so pumped to finally get to do this! My friend Callie had us all over and we were to bring an appetizer and wear our ugliest sweater. It was a ball! I of course had to find the best one for C. So I found one on Pinterest that I fell in love with and was inspired and decided to make it a lil DIY project. So yes I did hand sew the WHOLE thing!! And I must say so myself it was the best damn one!

The inspiration.

The Real deal.

Love my friends!

Life Lately: Through my Camera Roll

We woke up Saturday to a beautiful white blanket of snow surrounding us. I love this fluffy white stuff so much! It is seriously so pretty! I just hate driving in it.

So I took a different route after seeing that this road was not cleared off very well.

Seriously. It's hard to get mad at these faces.

Their first time in the snow two weekends ago! They loved it!

I got to watch this lil gem on Sunday. She's such a doll.

Sneak Peek

I mentioned in my post yesterday that we took our Christmas card pic. Well I already got those out and they are on their way. I may be a little overboard with the Christmas cards since we really arnt married yet. But, hey we are engaged to be married and we do have two dogs, so to me we are already a lil family. Right?

I just love how casual we look and in the snow in front of our lil abode. Thanks for taking them for us mom!

Also last night was my Pre-K Christmas program. Here's the outfit I wore.
