Goodbye 2015, Hello 2016

I don't know what it is but I am feeling that 2016 is about to bring big things for us!! Don't get me wrong 2015 brought some great memories and happiness. But also some sad and not so great times. 2015 was a year of traveling, cleaning and making changes, as well as enjoying our first year of marriage.

We managed to get our front landscaping done

Traveled to Florida for Callie's wedding

Enjoyed a lot of fun lake time on our boat we bought this summer.

Landed my first real big girl job!

Had our one year anniversary

Traveled to Texas for Erica's wedding

Also had some rough times along the way.

It was a good year but I am ready to see what all 2016 has in store for us. I am hoping for some new and exciting things!

The City that NEVER Sleeps

I just got back from the city that NEVER sleeps. And boy is that true! With all the hustle and bustle of NYC I can see why no one ever sleeps! I went on a short little trip with my family to NYC over the weekend. It was a great trip! Anyone that has ever wanted to go, it is definitely a must see! There is seriously so much to do! We tried to cover it all in the couple days we were there but still missed a few things.

                   Rockefeller Center

We flew out Christmas Day and arrived late that night. My cousin took us downtown to Times Square to see all the sites. We didn't get back to his place until 3:30! Ha

          St. Patrick's Catholic Church

                    Times Square

The next day (Saturday) we went to see where the tragedy 911 had happened and the rebuilding of the twin towers. Along with going to the Financial District and seeing the NY stock exchange. The final stop was the Statue of Liberty.

                   World Tower One

They are currently in the process of building the 2nd tower.

                       Ground Zero

                          Tiffany's

       Ellis Island-The Statue of Liberty

That same night we went to eat at my cousins restaurant and then he took us to the Brooklyn Promenade that over looks the entire city. It was so surreal and beautiful!

Sunday was another day of adventure. We went downtown again to attend church at St. Patrick's. Then headed down to Central Park and then to the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

         The Famous Rockefeller Tree

                    The Plaza Hotel

                        Central Park

                           The Met

That night we met up with Keith again and he took us around his nick of the woods in Brooklyn. We also met some new friends along the way!

Our last day was yesterday (Monday), my cousin was off work for the day so he tools is down to Soho for some shopping. We also ate in China town and walked through Little Italy. Such a neat experience!!

Christmas

Well as every year comes and goes, the anticipation of Christmas has come to an end. I cannot believe how fast it goes. And as I say every year we were completely blessed with all the wonderful gifts we recieved and enjoyed all the great quality family time.

I was digging my lip color choice.

Holiday Fun

This past weekend was filled with Holiday activities and fun. Friday night we went to see the Brewery lights with Kel & Dan. They were so neat! I think that needs to be the start of a tradition! ;)

Saturday was a day of errand running. That night we went to the rentals for dinner and drinks. We called it a night early and C and I came home to relax a bit before bed.

Yesterday we went to my aunts house to celebrate our Christmas with them and bake cookies.

Garden Glow

It turned out to be a pretty eventful, fun weekend.

Friday night my brother asked Casey if he wanted to go to a gambling parlor in Highland. C had asked me if I would go with them. I wasn't too keen on it but ended up going with them. I didn't plan on gambling any thing either. So when we got there C had given me $40 and literally within the first 10 spins I had won $300 bucks! Ha so I cashed out and was done.

Last night we had planned to go to the Botantical Gardens Garden Glow with friends. We had never been before and it was so neat! We grabbed dinner before hand at a yummy Italian restaurant on The Hill. It was a great night spent with good friends!

The lights were beautiful and so cool to look at! I can't wait to do it again next year!
