Merry Christmas

It is officially here. It feels so weird to have it be Christmas already. I just can't believe how fast time is flying. It's nuts. We spent the day with my dad's side of the family. The cousins enjoyed a fun game of 'things' while the adults talked. We always have so much fun when we get together. So many great memories made today. Glad we got to enjoy it.

Home for the Holidays

There's nothing like being home for the holidays. Even though I live right down the road from them it is always comforting being home. It's been an eventful weekend for us especially because we leave in just a few days we have been squeezing everything in. 

Friday night C and I enjoyed some time just the two of us. We went and grabbed dinner and then came home and watched a movie. 

Saturday my dad and I carried on our tradition by going to the Fox to see a Christmas musical. This year we saw A Christmas Story. It was really cute! 

After the show we came back home and did our family Christmas. Once again my parents out did themselves and were extremely good to us. We are so blessed to have such a loving, supportive family. 

Today I managed to get us both packed for the trip. I even ran a few errands and cleaned the house up a bit before we host C's family Christmas tomorrow evening. It's been a very productive day. 

Basement Clean Up

A couple weekends ago we cleaned up the basement a little bit. It was quite a mess (to me). We added some extra pieces of furniture we had out in the garage. I'm really digging the outcome.

Of course it's all temporary until we do some remodeling to this space. But it works for now! 

All Done Up

I love when I have the opportunity to get all dressed up. Like I had posted before, we had my salon party on Ssturday. We always go all out and have a makeup artist come in to pamper. I love it!

Party All Night Long

Another weekend has flown by us. We are so close to Christmas it's crazy. Our weekend was filled with holiday parties. We hosted the 2nd annual Ugly Sweater party this year. Female/Male ugliest sweater contest, the whole nine yards. It was fun. 

Saturday morning my family came over and baked cookies. It was an old tradition we used to do with my cousin and aunt every year. With how busy everyone has been it slowly faded out, so this year I wanted to do it again! 

So much goodness! 

Saturday evening was my Treo Christmas party. It was a really good time. 

Can't wait for this week to be over! Hope it goes by quickly.

Holiday Fun

These last few days off went by wayy to fast! Ugh why does time off work go by quicker than work? Ha. We really enjoyed all of the family time we had with everyone. C and I couldn't be more blessed to have such a fantastic family! 

My friend Courtney took pictures for us for Christmas for my parents and she did an amazing job! We love them!!

Thankful

Sick

I've been cooped up on the couch since Sunday with a nasty virus. Not sure if it's a horrible cold or the flu. I've on and off have had a fever, a cough, a stuffy nose. Each morning I wake up thinking I'm going to be able to make it to work and by the time I try to get ready I just don't have the strength of energy. No fun.  To top it off Casey is now catching it and he broke his thumb on Monday. Ha! When it rains it pours right? Just wanting this all this to blow over and get back to normal for next weeks festivities!
