Another Long Weekend

It was another loong eventful weekend. We had my brothers grad party Friday night and then a bachelorette party on Saturday.  I am really looking forward to this up coming weekend where we don't have anything going on and a day off work! :)

The bachelorette

Us Illinois chicks!

The circle of Indianapolis.

 Callz, my partner in crime!

Yesterday after the trek home from Indy, we went out to the farm to meet our new decorator and get some ideas of what we are doing with everything. It's so surreal to think we are just under 4 months out!!

Here's to a short week and a holiday weekend!!

Charleston

C and I just got back from a loonnggg chaotic trip with C's family. We were both excited and ready for a lil getaway this weekend. But once we hit the airport things were just not going our way. Our flight was to leave StL at 6 for Chicago. However, because Chicago was getting pounded on with rain we got put on standby not once but THREE times. So we didn't end up leaving until 9:30. Then our lovely flight got delayed in Chigao until 11:50. So we didn't end up getting into Charleston until 3 am. By this time we were exhausted and fed up with flying.

When traveling in big groups it really just makes things very difficult to meet everyone's accommodations.  At least on Friday we got to go to the beach for a bit. Which was a bit relaxing.

Friday evening we all went out to dinner and then hit up the town a bit. Because C and I were so tired and only running on a few hrs of sleep we decided to call it an early evening and head back.

Saturday was the day of the golf tournament. Which was really the main reason we were there. It was in honor of Casey's dad. C had a great time! I got to see and explore a bit of downtown Charleston while the guys golfed. It's a really neat and gorgeous place.

After golfing everyone headed out to the pavilion to hang out for a bit and unwind a little. Although it was incredibly humid and hot, no one was really enjoying themselves..

Yesterday we got up and headed out for a long haul. We made a pit stop in Hilton Head and then trecked it back home.

All in all C and I learned that when traveling with such a large group next time we will just make our own accommodations and figure stuff out on our own. Oh well you live and you learn.

Bridal Fun

Nothing like having two weddings back to back weekends. This past weekend I was actually in the wedding. It was a really good time.

Thursday evening was the actual rehersal.

Outfit details: Top: F21//Jeans: LC via Kohls//Shoes: Kohls//Necklace: Groopdealz

Friday evening was the rehearsal dinner at Lucas Park Grill on Wash Ave.

Some of the bridesmaids.

The ceremony was at the Worlds Fair Pavilion out in Forest Park and then the reception at the Renaissance hotel.

 Makeup and hair did :)

After the ceremony we drove around on the bus and made a few stops to take pictures.

The groom told the bus driver to drive us around while they were doing individual pics. So we had him take us to Ballpark Village. Ha

We may or may not have stood out a bit. ;)

It was such a great time. Can't believe another friend is married. One more to go then we will be having our own festivities! Time is flying!

Project Basement

I've been wanting to get our basement together for quite a while now. We didn't want to put the pallet furniture back together until we had stained it. We got it stained last week so it was ready to go. Since the basement is awkward shaped we had to really play around with where we were going to put everything. This space is very much still a work in progress but at least it's something for now.

That hideous wood panelling has got to go eventually!

Wedding Season

Wedding season has officially begun for us. We had our first one of the summer on Saturday. Even though it rained it turned out to be a beautiful evening sky filled with not one but two rainbows.

The rest of the weekend was spent cleaning up the house, yard saling and getting our basement put together (more on that to come!)

It was an eventful and enjoyable weekend!

Weekend Off

This was the first weekend we have actually not had anything planned or have anything planned for the next month. It was so nice to just take it easy and just do whatever we wanted without feeling rushed to be somewhere.

Friday night we went up to the Alhambra homecoming to hang out with some of Cs friends for a bit.

This was my super casual outfit for the evening.
Shirt: H&M (men's)//Shorts: F21//Shoes: Toms

Saturday was spent accomplishing some wedding stuff, relaxing, and running a few errands. That evening C and I got dinner and a movie.

Tank: Kohls//Jeans: Big Star//Flats: Jcrew Factory (kids size)

Today was a bit more eventful, one of my best friends is getting married so we all got together to try on bridesmaid dresses. She also officially 'told' us we were in the wedding! :)

Such a cute idea!

Now bring on the craziness of June!
