Office Space Project

I've been wanting to take on the disaster of our office space for quite a while now. And just recently started doing it. It's slowly coming all together and once the couch is gone I think it will finally be complete.

I posted last week the refinishing of the desk I had painted. I loved it so much I decided to take on two other painting projects. A coffee table and an old chair that was my grandmas.

I redid this old coffee table that we had gotten from my MIL back when we lived in our lil rental. C didn't want to get rid of it so I gave it some updating. I love how it turned out.

This is the chair I received from my grandma when she had moved. I love the look of these chairs but the wood was dis colored and the fabric color was obviously very out dated.

I did some research on Pinterest and found where some people had used fabric spray paint instead of reapolstering. So I gave it a shot. I really love the outcome!

This is the little nook space all together.

Still need some decor on the table but I am so relieved that this space is all coming together so nicely.

Long Weekend Recap

It was a long weekend for me. It was so nice too!

Friday was spent at a seminar and then hanging out with the sweet Hiatt kiddos. And I finally got to meet sweet baby Roman. He's so precious.

Friday night I met up with some friends and we went out for sushi and drinks. Nom!

Saturday was spent thrift shopping with my mom. I unfortunately didn't find much but she had found an abundance of goodies. I always love going and find old pieces that can be reused/renewed.

Yesterday I went with my brother down to Carbondale to pick up his new little addition. A golden retriever puppy! He is seriously the cutest thing.

Meet Palmer. :)

Today was a very productive day. I'm currently organizing/decorating my office space so I was able to paint and redo our desk today. As well as get all my grocery shopping and laundry done! It always feels so good to get so much accomplished.

I'm really satisfied with the way it turned out. Now I just need to get on the rest of the room.

Gallery Wall

Our mini gallery wall above our bed has really come together within the last couple of months. And I must say I am completely satisfied and love it! I love the tranquil relaxing feel of our master.

It first started with this sad lonely picture that didn't even make the cut to stay.

Switched out the other wedding photo for a B

And with the headboard in place, added the beach picture I took to remember our beautiful view of Cancun.

Family Time

We had a lot of family time this weekend. And it was soo fun!

Friday night we met up with my mom, brother, cousin and her boyfriend for dinner and drinks. We went up to the Wooden Nickel. They have great food and that night they had a guy singing who did a great job! We stayed there for a bit and then went out to the bars downtown. I had a really good time hanging out with all them!

I think this picture pretty much sums up the evening. Haha

Saturday was spent all day on the couch lounging. It was actually pretty nice. Last night we met up with everyone at Fast Eddies for my uncles birthday. There was a large group of us which was a good time. Good food, drinks, company, and band. After a while we moved over to the casino and played a bit there.

Today I did my usual Sunday chores. Cleaning, laundry, relaxing (not that it is a chore). We didn't leave at all today due to this yucky rain we've had. Supposed to turn over to ice tonight! Maybe an ice day tomorrow?!? Haha

Comfy OOTD

I've been on a blogging frenzy lately! I've been off school the past two days due to the cold temps. It's actually been really nice. Here's my comfy outfit for the day. I will admit I had just received the boots and thought id try them out with this outfit. It's actually not bad. :)

House Updates

The Christmas decor has come down. It is so sad to have to put it all away already. I've done some more updates around the house. I'm still working on our office space. Hope to transform that room real soon.

Santa brought me a head board for Christmas!! I feel like our master is nearly complete!

We've added a shell we got from Cancun and dark grey curtains.

Some new sheets (not pictured) some navy shams and a navy throw really spruce up this bed. To say the least I am obsessed with this room.

Last Christmas Celebration

We ended our long (not long enough) break with our last Christmas celebration with my moms side yesterday. Because everyone's so busy and going a million different directions we always wait a bit to do our Christmas with them. We're all so much older it's so fun to sit around and talk about memories. This year in particular we all sat around and talked about all the great memories we had with my grandpa. Lots of laughs and tears flowing in that living room yesterday.

Erik looks thrilled. Ha

It's so sad that the holidays are already all over.

Back to the grind today. I'm hoping for an easier/smoother 5 months with the kiddos! Wishful thinking maybe, but I'm going to still be hopeful! :)

Looking Back on 2014

So much happened in the last year that I wish I could relive it all. We celebrated so many showers, bachelorette parties, weddings, and house warmings. It was an eventful year.

We started the year off with the purchase of our first home.

My brother graduated from high school.

Was a bridesmaid in my friend Courtney's wedding.

Celebrated soo many wedding festivities

Got Married in September

Went to Kentucky with the fam

Ended the year with our honeymoon in Cancun.

2014 was definitely good to us. Excited to see what 2015 has to offer. More weddings, babies?!?, career?!? Hopefully! :)
