Mother Nature your such a tease!

This weather the past couple of days has been ridiculously nice! I cannot believe we are having 60 degree weather in the beginning of February! So crazy! Even though I totally love winter and snow I must say driving with my windows down and not having to carry a coat around is pretty nice. :)

I'm sure this winter isnt over.. And there is something stirring around up there.. But this weather has def been a tease for Spring!

Last night C his friend Adam and I finally made it up to Eastern to visit
my brother. It was definitely crazy and not something I am used to. But it was really a good time!

We started out by hanging for a lil bit in the dorm and then went to a sorority house party. This party was ridiculously packed so we just parked ourselves somewhere. Then we went to hit up some of the bars and even those were jammed packed.

I can say it was an extremely successful night!

Low Key

This weekend was pretty low key. Friday the the freezing ice hit and once it did it came with vengeance. So i stayed home Friday night and spent some much needed quality time with my fam.

Yesterday i worked all day and then got to babysitt Kar's cute lil man Maddox! He was such a joy to watch!  After i got done babysitting a bunch of people were at our current hang out, Weezys. Haha so i went up there to hang out for a bit which was quite fun :)

Today is a relaxing day. My dad has people over to watch the football game so i am just sitting back and enjoying my Sunday before the hectic week hits us once more..

C came over tonight and we watched my favorite tv show of all time.. FRIENDS! Even though I've seen every episode a billion times I still laugh uncontrollably.

Am I really becoming a grownup?

The realization of the "real world" is starting to sink in. I've been filling out job applications all around the area and just drove to Freeburg to give them my resume for a few job openings.

Today at the SIUE seminar we had various administrators from the area came to talk to us about the interviewing process and perform a mock interview. I just can't believe how real it is all becoming! A small part of me is terrified to grow up and follow my dream, but a much larger part of me is soo ready and excited to have my own classroom! 

I cant believe the holidays have already been here and gone.. It's so crazy how time has flown! To celebrate the new year C and I always attend a party at a friends house. The evening started out good but by the time 12 rolled around we all had our fun and were losing steam fast..


Some of my 2012 resolutions:

1. Get into shape... Im sure everyone is doing the same thing and this semester It will be really tough with student teaching and working.. But I'm willing to take on the challenge!

2. Eat healthier... I want to get in the habit of eating better. Not only for myself but C too!

3. SAVE MONEY..if I am going to move out here soon I need to save up! The holidays really took a toll on my bank account as well so I majorly need to get it back up!

I hope i can keep the mindset and stay motivated to follow these goals!
