Officially Summer

The weather has just been perfect these last couple of days.  Lets hope it stays like this!!  Yesterday was Memorial Day and it was such a great and relaxing day.  It started off by taking a nice long walk with my friend Callie out on the bike trail.  Sadly, although we were only walking, I was one hot mess.  After our longgg walk we went to Callie's house to lay out by the pool.  It was such a perfect day for it too and I definitely got some sun.  On my way home, C called me to tell me that he had driven all the way into work to find out that they are shut down for Memorial Day, and no one bothered to inform him...so I went over there to hang out with him for the evening.  I always love laying around with boo and watching movies and just enjoying a nice relaxing evening together.  We ended up renting Country Strong, it wasnt what I was
expecting but it was a decent movie. 

Today I had class from 1-5..blahh that is such a long time to sit there. Although it is a movie class where we lecture for an hour and a half and watch a movie the other half.  Today's movie was horrible...It was an Italian film that had subtitles which makes it even worse.  After class I ran to Target to get a few things and then went to Gilligans in Holiday Shores with my brother, cousin, and friend.  I do love me some fried food :) 

Tomorrow Callie and I are going walking/running (whatever we decide to do) again, and my friend Courtney invited me to go lay out at the Country Club with her.  Plus I have to be at work at 3.  I love summer days and how jam packed they can get with fun events!!

Sunday=Family Day

Most of the time I spend my Sunday's spending time with my family or sitting at home doing homework. This weekend I had no homework so I spent my whole day with the fam.  It started off by getting up and going to church at the Basilica in St. Louis.  It is such beautiful church with so many beautiful mosaic's to look at. After church we went to lunch.  We ended up in the Central West End and ate at Sub Zero, a sushi/hamburger place.  It was delicious!! We all ended up getting sushi and had some sweet potato fries. YUMM.  Once we finished up lunch we headed over to the Fox Theater to see Jersey Boys.  It was simply AMAZING!! I love seeing shows at the Fox and Jersey Boys, a musical about Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons was definitely a good one to go see!!  As of right now I am sitting here contemplating on what I want to do with the rest of my evening...I know one things for sure with the forecast tommorrow I plan on sleeping in and laying out ALL day getting my tan on :)

Let the Weekend Festivities Begin!

As we all know this weekend is Memorial Day weekend! :) My weekend so far has been pretty low key. 

Yesterday I worked ALL day...and it was very LONGGG...especially since we had to fit in clients that moved from the storm Wednesday night.  I dont usually mind..but I tend to get antsy when 4 or 5 o'clock roll around.  Afterwork I came home and changed and waited on C to get here.  We had a few drinks with the parentals and then we all headed up to the Bonifest.  The Bonifest used to be so much fun as a kid, but not so much now that I have grown.  We did get to have a few drinks and eat some good ol fair food :)  But we had to end the night early because C had to go into work....again.....so I just went to bed..

Today is BOTH of my brothers birthday's.  Its so weird that 15 years ago my mom delivered my youngest brother Cale on my other brother Cam's birthday.  They are Memorial babies and mom gets double whammy on having to buy for two on the same day.  I cant believe how fast time flies and to think that my brothers are already 15 and 19.  Pretty soon Cale will be driving and Cam will be 21...AHHHH that makes me feel soooo old!

Happy Birthday Cam and Cale!! I am very thankful to have such great siblings even though they always give me a rough time.  My life wouldnt be the same without them.  Love you guys! :)

Tonight I am hoping it rains so that the races get canceled and C can hang out with me..haha is that bad?? Its his only night off and I really want to go out and do something fun.  However, I refuse to go to the races tonight...because I do not find those to be fun...

Tomorrow the familia is going to see Jersey Boys at the Fox Theater!! Im pretty excited.  I always love getting dressed up and going to the Fox.  My brothers have never been before so it should be interesting.

Spring..Roaring Out Like a LION

I am SOOOO over these thunderstorms... they terrify me.  Especially with all the devestation going on in Joplin, Missouri. :(  

These past few days have flown by so fast.  Monday I had class and work which is pretty much the norm.. Tuesday I had class and started my second class of the summer.  Class started off rocky considering the power went off on campus...so class got out early :) (not that I'm complaining) Tuesday night I went to the movies with the girls to see Bridesmaids.  I would definitely recommend it! I was dying I was laughing so hard.  Afterwards we went to 54th for a late dinner and some drinks.  I love catching up and hanging out with my best friends!!  Wednesday, I finished my first class of the summer...one down, two more to go.  I went into work at 3 and the weather started getting icky around 4..and I was out of there by 4:30...it got bad so fast and the news people were scaring everyone including myself that it was going to get really bad out.  Luckily it just missed us and our area didnt get hit as hard as they suspected.

Tonight C and I went to 54th for dinner...haha that place never gets old.  Afterwards we just came back to my house and hung out before he had to go to work.  Blahh I hate it when he is on night shifts.

Weekend Recap

This weekend started out by having nothing planned to being surprisingly fun. Friday night after work I came home and was starving. So my brother and his friend joined me for dinner at Wasabi :) mmm I love sushi. Afterwards we came home and I ended up just laying around and eventually fell asleep. Saturday I was extremely bored and would've ended up at home by myself all day so I headed to the mall to get my brother a birthday present. Although that was the only thing I went for, of course I came home with much more for myself. Saturday night I joined C at the races..even though I hate going these went pretty fast. After the races we decided to go bar hopping and started at Broadway in Highland then went to Sams to get pizza and ended up at Big Stix in Breese. I had never been to Big Stix before and it was definitely a good time :) I even ran into my cousin. Haha C always says I run into at least one cousin when we go out. Today was pretty much a lazy day.. C and I hung out at my house all day just laying around. Can't get much better than that :)

GOAL Alert!!

My goal this summer is to stay active and get into shape.  I absolutely hate working out so I want to get in the habit of excercising.  So  far so good, I went on a run yesterday with some friends, and went for a lil jog today after class.  Lets hope I can keep this up.  Im not very good at sticking to something very long when it comes to getting into shape.  I even downloaded an app on my phone to keep a log of my calorie intake daily.  haha not so sure how effective it is but I still like to see how many calories I am eating a day.

Yesterday ir was beautiful outside and was a perfect day for a run and my favorite summer activity....TANNING.  After our run, Callie, Erica, and I all went to Cal's house and got our tan on.  It was very relaxing laying by the pool and just talking. I deffintely walked away with a burn.  I hope this burn turns into a nice tan though.  :)  Summer is upon us and I am extremely excited!

Hello Again

Its been awhile since my last post.  I am on my second week of summer school and start my second class next week.  Its crazy that it is going by so fast.  The weather this week so far is beautiful!! High 60's low 70's is exactly what I like.  I havent posted many pictures lately so here are a few.

My lovely mother's birthday also came and went and we celebrated mothers day.  So since they are both in the same week, we went to Shogun for dinner as a family.

School is out til.........MONDAY...WHAT!?!

Today officially ended my Junior year.  I had an elementary seminar to discuss my senior assignment today and it completely overwhelmed me.  Sitting in a chair for four hours with only one 10 minute break is not what I call FUN....I have been looking forward to this day for a really long time.  Sadly, I only  have three more days off from school until I start back up for summer school next week.  What the heck did I get myself into??

Im hoping everything goes smoothly and that Im not overly stressed from these classes.  I had no choice but to take summer school in order to graduate on time so I blame no one but SIUE.  j/k I put it all on myself, but who really wants to go to school for 5 years? NOT ME!
