Holy Hotness

Last night was my first session at hot yoga. Wow I did not expect to be dripping every where with sweat. I am definitely not a "glistening" sweater. Yuck! Half way through the workout I kept telling myself that "I am never coming back this was a horrible idea." Towards the end my feelings completely changed towards the session and I felt entirely relaxed and better. It is just so hot!

I would definitely recommend it! Just be sure to go in with an open mind. And you can totally just relax and don't worry about all the sweating!


As a side note. I am super excited to have this little beauty in my purse in the next couple days! My mom is in Orlando for a couple days and asked me if I wanted her to check any stores out for me while they were at the mall. Um hello?!? Why of course I do! Before I could even call her she was already in the Tory Burch store and sending me pictures.

A Night on the Town

Friday night a few friends and I met up for dinner at Cleveland Heath.  That is one restaurant that never disappoints me.  It is always so nice to have a nice dinner with great friends.  After dinner we went to get the boys and headed out to Laurie's.  It was terribly crowded and the band was so loud, we got one drink and left.  So we decided to try out Big Daddy's.  I usually HATE going to Big Daddy's, but this particular night it turned out to be a blast.  We got there around 10 and there happened to be hardly anyone in there, which was completely fine with us.  Then once 11:00-12 hit they started rolling in.  I think we saw nearly everyone from high school! It was nuts! But we definitely all enjoyed ourselves!

Saturday was a day of relaxation.  I meant to get more done than what little I actually did get done.  But it was very much needed after Friday night.  C, I and his friend Zac did go to Buffalo Wild Wings for dinner and then headed to the STL car show.  I managed to find some vehicles I definitely want to look more into! Afterwards we came back home to watch the rest of the Blues game and called it a night.

I managed to get the house cleaned today, and have dinner in the crockpot.  Super excited to try this one! Inspired by Pinterest of course! My dad and little brother are going to join us tonight as well so I'm anxious to see what they have to say about it.

Home Sweet Home

Sunday evening C finally arrived home after being at two weeks of training. I couldn't have been more thrilled to have him home! It feels good to get back into our little routine of things. I'm super excited to spend the weekend with him since I have Saturday off!

We talked about going car shopping this weekend because I am in major need of
a new vehicle. Just not sure as to what I want..Not sure I am ready for a car payment....guess it's time to grow up.

Beautiful

It was beautiful out today. It almost felt like spring in the middle of January. However, we will be back to the cold weather tomorrow.

I got to spend some good quality time with an old friend of mine today. She came over to my house to do some crafts. There were several I had intended to do but never had found the time. I was excited to get some of them done. Along with catching up! We even went on a little antique/vintage shopping spree and bought a few things for our homes.

It was a very enjoyable Saturday afternoon.

Finished

I managed to get the bathroom done today after work. I was a lil nervous about the outcome but I really like it!

Since the rest of our house is pretty neutral I decided to be a little ambitious and do a much bolder color. The pictures make it look a little darker than what it really is.

I also finally found a place to put my mirror and I like where we put it! Our little abode really feels a lot like "home."

Sunday

I really have mixed feelings about Sundays..

Dislike:
1. The day is usually spent doing laundry
2. I always try to run as many errands as I can before the week really starts
3. Cleaning up the house and reorganizing everything that got out of place throughout the week
4. What day comes after Sunday?.....the dreadful Monday!!!

Like:
1. Relaxing with boo before bed
2. Trying out my cooking skills and cooking a rookie meal for C and I
3. Managing to get the little things that still need to be done around the house
4. Sitting on the computer 'pinning' my life away.

This past weekend was surprisingly busy. Friday night I got to experience what life will be like with kids. I got to enjoy a nice fun-filled dinner with Kar and her sweet kiddos lil M and E!


Saturday I met up with a friend to exchange some things, went to the gym with another friend (which I am really hurting today), and then had a late lunch with my MOH BFF E!


Today I am hoping to get the bathroom painted since I promised C it would be done when he gets home next Sunday. I think he's fretting on how good of a job I will do. Haha!

Weekend Recap

This weekend flew by. Which really bums me out.. C left today for two weeks for his training so sad! I'm going to try really hard to keep myself occupied and busy these next weeks to make them go by faster.

Friday night after babysitting, I went to Gville for my grandpas birthday. A lil quality time with the fam. Afterwards I went to get C and then went to a friends house in Grantfork. It ended up being a late night. But it felt so good to sleep in on Saturday.

Saturday C and I got his stuff together for his trip and bummed around the house. I ran a couple errands and made a yummy dinner for the two of us before he left. That night my dad invited C to a man party he was having out at the house. He had the gambling tables all set up and they all had a good time. This ended in another late night.

Today I had a customer service class for the salon and I really ended up getting a lot out of it. It was very beneficial.

Welcome 2013

I can't believe it is already the year 2013!  We survived 2012 and I can't even remember everything that went down in 2012.  But here are some key memories that occurred in 2012:

-We moved in to our own little abode

-C got his big time job working with JF

-got ENGAGED!!

-I graduated from SIUE with my bachelors in El Ed.

-The Lauchner family took a big family trip to Florida

-Celebrated our 10 year anniversary!

-Traveled to Sin City with my parents

-Visited my brother at school

-Spent many great times with friends

-And family

I'm sure 2013 will be filled with many more great memories! Many weddings will fill our time this year.  Hope everyone had a wonderful and safe New Years Eve.
