DIY Day

Today was spent running errands and doing some DIY projects that I have been wanting to do.  I finally got another side table to put on the other side of our bed so I went ahead and painted both of those today along with adding some metallic. I also have really been wanting a chalkboard in the kitchen.  With a lil help from C we managed to get it accomplished! I love doing projects but when they are done I am so relieved.  Can't wait to see what else I can put to the test!

I've been slacking on blogging lately. Being out of town last weekend really just threw me off. I got all caught up this week on everything while I was gone. So I'm back!

Last night we went over to C's aunts to celebrate his grandmas birthday. It's was a nice relaxing evening with family.

The weather here really sucks today. It's really throwing off the plans I had for the day. Blah.

Here's what I wore last night:
Sweater: Target// Tank: Ralph Lauren// Jeans: Joes (thrifted)// Wedges: Target-recent// Watch-Bangle: Gift// Gold Bangle: Marc Jacobs via Shopbop// Purse: Target

Weekend Getaway

This weekend was spent outdoors at the horse track. Since my brother goes to University of Kentucky the fam decided to take advantage and hit up one of the horse tracks down there for a family weekend. Some of my parents friends joined which made the day even more fun! Kentucky goes BIG with their horse racing so it was fun to get dressed up and watch some "real" horse racing in action.

A Splash of Turquoise

Top: Old Navy//Skirt: Target//Belt: Target//Booties: DSW//Necklace: Tiffany and Co.

I also thought this outfit would be super cute with my jean jacket from Old Navy.  However,  I didn't
end up wearing it since it was too warm.

I wore this outfit on Sunday to lunch with a friend.  The weather was perfect for a skirt so I decided to rock it.  Sorry for the cheesy facial expressions, C was laying on the bed making fun of me.  Haha sometimes he just doesn't understand my love for fashion.

What I Wore: To Work

Here's another "What I Wore: To Work" outfit post coming your way.  I do love mixing in colors with my required black and gray color scheme.  Especially now that it is spring so many colors go great with black and gray.  The options are pretty much endless.

Low Key

This weekend was pretty low key for us.  We spent a lot of time with friends over the last couple of days which is always nice. Friday night I went to visit Kel and her new lil one Gia for the first time.  It was so nice to catch up with her and Kar and see their adorable kiddos! I must admit that I felt a little left out being the only one without a kiddo. I know my time will come sooner or later. :)  I am so blessed to have made such great friends with my favorite co-workers! Love ya guys!

Last night was one of those nights where I tagged along with the guys.  C's friends Adam and Zac ended up coming over and hanging out for the evening.  We had a gift card for Applebees so we decided to go and eat.  It is always nice to have a quiet evening with C and his friends.  I tease C often that he not only has me as his girlfriend but Adam and Zac as well (jeesh). Hehe

My Flower Girl and Ring Bearer. I Cant wait!

Probably the sweetest thing I've ever seen! Maddox was singing to baby Gia.

Hope everyone enjoyed their weekend!

Switch Over

This past Sunday after church, I went over to my parents to gather the rest of my clothes.  I took all of my spring/summer clothes that I didn't need up until now.  I didn't take out any of my winter clothes though because I still feel there are some key pieces I can definitely transition into the spring and summer seasons.  After hauling all the clothes to my car I felt defeated and wasn't sure where I was going to put everything.  But I managed to find a place for all of it and was extremely happy to have it all switched over.

What I wore to church
Chambray shirt: Target//Pants: Target//
Booties: Vince Camuto//Monogram Necklace: Tiffany & Co.

Love my new necklace from my auntie!

Birthday Weekend Recap

This weekend was spent celebrating my birthday :)  I feel so very blessed to have such great friends and family that all came out on Friday to celebrate with me! We went to a winery out in Pocahontas called Copper Dock.  It is so beautiful and serene.  We even managed to get the top balcony all to ourselves.  I had a really great time.

Saturday was the actual b-day so C and I spent the entire day together.  We had a great time together, nothing beats spending some quality time with the boyfriend.  He truly is fantastic!  I really wanted to do something outside so spent the day fighting the hustle and bustle of the zoo.  I guess since it was so nice out everyone in the STL decided to go to the zoo (including us).  Once we got there we just took our time and managed to get a few good laughs in as we watched the crazies that surrounded us.

Today is a gorgeous day as it was yesterday! I am loving this Spring weather!

He thinks he's pretty cool ;)

Weren't sure what this big guy was doing..But he
kept grabbing his lip and was trying to look at it. haha

Hope everyone else enjoyed their weekend as much as we did! Back to the grind tomorrow. Have a fantastic week!

What I Wore: Easter Day

C and I managed to keep this holiday pretty low key and decided to only attend one family gathering.  Christmas was just crazy hectic and I knew Easter would be too.  SO, we ended up just going to church with my family and then to his aunts house for lunch.  It was so much easier and much more relaxing.  The weather was BEAUTIFUL on Sunday just like it was predicted! I even had boo take some pictures of me outside instead of my typical mirror pic. Hopefully this weather stays and we can say goodbye to the cold and snow.

Can you tell I am obsessed with my new boots?

Denim, Denim, Denim

Saturday evening we went to my parents to celebrate my birthday since my brother was in town. My mom and dad cooked me my favorite meal (pork steaks, potatoes, and brussels sprouts) and my mom surprised me with my favorite desert.. Cheesecake!! It is alway a great time going to my parents and spending quality time with my fam. I also came home with some great gifts! They spoil us!

This is the outfit I wore Saturday evening. I was skeptical at first about putting denim with denim but I like the different colors of the denim together.

Chambray shirt: Target
Jeggings: Kohls
Boots: Vince Camuto
Necklace: Lia Sophia
