Stormy Weekend

I shouldn't say it was all stormy. Really just today. Okay I am only saying stormy because my hubby was working over time all weekend from a storm that had rolled in Thursday.  

I spent most of the weekend in my very own little community. I met up with my family and cousins for dinner at a local restaurant down the road on Friday. And after work on Saturday went out on the lake with Kel and her hubs. 

Today we finally got to take the tune out for a bit before more storms hit. I am so lucky to have settled in a great area. And to have a lake right in our own backyard. It doesn't get much better than that!

I haven't done a camera roll post in a while. Here's what we've been up to lately. 

Lounging with the pups last week and snapped this pic of my handsome boy. 

Friday I was off work so my mom asked me to paint her barstools. They turned out so good!! 

We made a huge purchase on Saturday. Can't wait to get out and enjoy the water! 

We had a wedding on Saturday evening as well as celebrated 9 months of marriage.

Made my aunt a wreath yesterday during the spurt of rain. 

Ready to enjoy the sun! Sick of the amount of rain we've been getting lately.

Weekend Recap

We had a great weekend spent with friends and family. Friday night we met up with some friends to catch up over Mexican. After dinner we went to The Marina for a few drinks. 

Saturday I had gotten up to do the 5k Susan G. Komen walk with my family in StL. It was so uplifting and inspirational! I would definitely do it again.  After the walk I came back home and we grilled out with some friends. After our dinner we took the four-wheelers out for a spin and made it home just in time before the storm rolled in. 

Today was an enjoyable day of relaxing and then we decided to go to Chucks Boots. Oddly enough we ran into C's mom and went and got dinner with her.

'Pochahontas' Ootd

I just got back from dinner with the rents and my cousin. I was really digging my outfit for the evening. When I showed up to my parents my dad mentioned that I looked like Pochahontas...after dinner when I had gotten home CB mentioned the exact same thing! I definitely didn't get the Indian vibe when I had pieced it together but whatever.

Vacation/Wedding

So glad my bestie decided to do a destination wedding so we could make a small vacay out of it. Cal got married in Grayton Beach, Florida this past weekend and it was absolutely beautiful. The water was the clearest I have ever seen. Being with my 4 closest friends this weekend was the best and I look forward to many more vacays together. Good thing we have another coming up in October!
