Kitchen table project

I've been looking all over for a kitchen table to refinish. And I was thankfully given one that would work perfectly with my vision. 

I wanted it to be rustic and farm like, so I sanded down the whole top to stain a dark color. The base was painted with chalk paint and then distressed a bit. 

The chairs were a bit of a pain but I sanded the seat and stained them then painted the rest with chalk paint. 

I love the turn out!! 

Started with this.. Very light top color and black base.

Three coats of a dark cherry stain and chalk paint.

Then poly'd and in the kitchen! 

Fun Fun Fun

This weekend was a blast. Of course it was spent on the lake. Friday night was a nice night in and we called it an early night. 

Started the weekend off right with a Bloody Mary. 

Saturday C had to work, so I went out on the lake with Kel and Dan then C came out after he had gotten off. It was so much fun!

It was even better that I got to spend the day with this lil chicka. 

Then we were back at it on Sunday. Days on the lake are so relaxing and fun.
