Redneck Much?

Last night C and I attended the lawnmower derby at the Madison County Fair in Highland. Haha it is definitely what you call REDNECK! Althought I must admit it was very entertaining.  It was extremely hot and muggy out though which made it kind of hard to sit so long.  After the derby we met up with C's friends and went to the hog barn.  Every year the fair is in town we always end up in the hog barn afterwards and everyone just drinks beer and plays bags.  Its by far as redneck as they come but actually quite fun!!

Tonight I am going out with my girlfriends to celebrate E's 22nd birthday!! Wow cant believe she is already 22.  Father Time can you please slowwww down!?!  I am really looking forward to spending a fun night out with my friends! :)

Summertime

I've really been enjoying my time relaxing, working, and being able to do what I want.  I really dont want it to end!!! This weekend was really a lot of fun.. we celebrated Adam's 21st birthday.  He was the last of C's friends to turn 21 so of course he had to go out with a bang. haha.  It started Thursday night (his actual birthday) by going to Fast Eddies and then headed to Edwardsville to Big Daddy's.  I had never been to Big Daddy's on a Thursday night before, but it is definitely a high school reunion.  Friday night we went to Wild Country for $1 beer night!  It was really a lot of fun.  We all just let loose and had a good time.  Yesterday a bunch of us went to C's to swim and relax and then last night we went to the Casino Queen. Surprisingly enough C and I came out on top and brought home some money!!! It was a jam packed weekend of much needed fun!

I am pretty excited about this week...my BFF, E turns 22 on Tuesday!!! For her birthday we are going to have a girls night out and go to the Cheesecake factory!  The State Fair is also going on this week in Highland so Im sure we will be spending the majority of our time there as well.

Yesterday I got my hair done.  And it is SUPER blonde!!!! Dont get me wrong I really like it! But Ive never imagined myself this blonde before.

Date Night

Friday night C and I went out for a much needed date night.  It started out by going to Red Lobster for dinner.  YUMMMM!! It is most definitely our favorite place to eat :)  Even though it was a 45-50 minute wait it was well worth it! After dinner we got two redbox movies and headed home.  It's sad to say that I did not make it through the first movie without falling asleep...

C insisted on wearing a hat because he said his forehead looked like grated cheese from the peeling....haha

The last three weeks I have been taking an art class.  We have worked with drawing, clay, collage, papier mache, painting, and printmaking.  I LOVED it!!!  Here is my "art" I produced from the last couple of weeks.

Meet Me At The Muny!

Tuesday night my mom, neighbor and I attended The Little Mermaid at the Muny in Forest Park. It was a really cute show. Since The Little Mermaid has been one of my favorite movies since I was little I begged my mom to take me!! I always enjoy a good mother daughter date night, even though our neighbor tagged along this time it was still fun. We started out the evening by going to dinner in the Central West End... I can't remember the name of the place we ate at but it was yummy! I love that area of St. Louis!! After dinner we headed to the Muny praying the rain would hold out.. And it did!! Thank you mother nature! It wasn't miserably hot and it didn't rain!! It was the perfect evening!

Holy Hotness!

These past few days have been incredibily hot!! Yesterday's heat index rose up to about 107! Holy cow!!! It was extremely tiring and this humidity makes me feel like Im always grasping for air.....yuck!! This past weekend was extremely fun and very HOT!

Saturday, C and I attended our most common spot on Saturday evenings.....the Highland Race Track...deffinitely not my 1st choice..haha...but our friend Jason was not racing this time, so the boys got to join us in the stands which made it much more enjoyable.

Sunday my friend Callie invited us to go boating with her and her boyfriend Cody.  We drove to Hillsboro just enjoy the hot day on the water.  We skied, wakeboarded, and just layed in the water most of the day. We both had a really great time.  Even though the sun gave C and I some pretty nice sunburns. Got to love the good 'ol midwest summers!

Tonight I am supposed to go see The Little Mermaid at the Muny with my mom and neighbor...I really hope the temperature lowers and the rain stops so we can get to go!!

ATTENTION! One week from today I will ACTUALLY have a summer!

In one week my summer vacation will officially start and soon after...end.....I cannot believe how fast it has gone.  With the weather this year it doesnt really even seem like its been that much of a summer.  Especially with all the rain we have gotten.  I have really been slacking on my blogging..my days have really  been jammed packed with stuff and by the time I get home I am just throughly exhausted.  I even stayed home tonight so that I could get a jumpstart on homework that is due next week!! I just finished one assignment but still have one more to finish by Monday. 

Last Sunday I went on a lil road trip with E to help her do a wedding party in Hermann, MO.  Even though the bride and bridesmaids were CRAZY...the venue was beatuiful.  My pictures dont really do it justice but I really fell in love with this place.

Since this past weekend was 4th of July..I thought this picture would be perfect for showing patriotism! Bahaha! I drive by these everytime I go over to C's! I thought it was hilarious so I had to take a picture!

Stay Here Forever...

So its been a while since my last blog post...

Summer school is still rolling and I am in my last class for the summer.  Its going by pretty quickly which is good.  However, summer is going by TOO fast! SLOW DOWN!  I cannot believe this weekend is the 4th of July already.  I hate how fast it all goes.  I am really enjoying this art class I am currently in.  My brother makes fun of me by asking "when do we need to drop you off at day camp?"  haha very funny! Even though all we do is art projects, it is a really good class for us as future teachers to take.  Today we just finished clay and next week we move into painting...Once it is all done I will have to post pictures :)

Tonight C went out so I went out with my friends for a girls night.  Although we did not do much it was still fun!  We started out by going to El Maguey to eat and have some margaritas! My favorite! :)  It seems like all there is to do in this town is eat out. Blahh...but it was still good.  The special was the JUMBO margs so we each got one, and let me tell you, they were definitely JUMBO! We could barely finish them.

After mexican we went to Global Brew to have a few drinks.  Cal and I got the strawberry beer and Kels got the strongbow.  Pretty interesting.  Im not really into the whole spend $6 bucks on a drink that isnt exactly the best drink I've ever had, but I did have a good time. 

I am currently obsessed with my new gift from my wonderful boyfriend C.  He just ordered these for me this week.  I wore them out tonight and I love them!! :)
