Today was the last day of my IS course....thank goodness! Im not sure I could handle that class much longer...Although I felt that today's class was the best class out of them all. We watched AFI's top 100 movies..and it really got me wanting to watch some of the classics. Ive seen a few but no where near them all.
Monday I start an even longer class from 8:30-4...blahhhh....did I really need to do this to myself?? This past week has just been gliding by. I havent really been up to much. C is on the afternoon shift this week so he works from 2-11, which blows because I hate having to wait for him to get off that late. But I have been over there quite a bit this week.
A couple of posts ago I said that my goal this summer was to become more fit. I believe that I have really done a good job in keeping up with that by walking and trying to stick to a 1200 calorie daily intake. But I also want to add to my goal...I want to SAVE more money...as most of my friends know, I spend money like no other! I am the worst at going into Target to get a few things and end up coming out with much more than was intended! Also, having Old Navy in town really just gets me weak. From here on out, I am going to start saving!

Home Sweet Home
Although I enjoy getting away every now and then, I always do love coming home! This past weekend was much needed and a lot of fun! My cousin got married in the Ozarks this past weekend, so we all made the trip and shared their special day with them. The ceremony was completely miserable due to the 90 degree weather and the sun beating right down on us (a black dress wasnt exactly the best idea either!!). The weather overall that day was just crazy, you never knew what it was going to do. Later that evening it rained on us so we had to move everything inside, but overall the night was a hit and we now welcome Valerie to our family! We stayed at my step-aunts house which was right on the lake and just an amazing place to be! We didnt have time to get out on the lake much besides rafting near the dock, but we did manage to get in a full day of shopping! :) I had a great time this weekend! Too bad its already over, now back to reality. This is the last week of my IS course, so Im pretty excited about that. My week ahead of me consists of lots of work and studying!

At Last!
Since my last blog post, I have been pretty busy. Saturday night I went to the Highland racetrack to watch friends of Caseys race. Callie and Cody came too and they got to see a pretty exciting event! There were several wrecks which always makes the races exciting, just about as exciting as they can get! Ha! Sunday I worked a cut-a-thon at work for breast cancer. After the event C came over for a family dinner! That's always fun! This morning I ran some errands with my mother and came to C's for some relaxation time with him :) Tonight we are going to Hooters with some friends before he has to go into work. Later on I plan on getting a head start on my packing and getting stuff ready for this weekend! We leave Thursday after I get out of class and I'm super excited! I'm soo ready for a lil getaway!

Yummm...Chocolate
This summer is just flying by. Im pretty ok with it only because I want to be done with summer school and this next year. Time can start slowing down once I graduate college and get a real "grownup" job! Within the last week I have:
-walked with Callie a few times
-worked
-gone to Zumba (burned over 930 calories!!)
-went to the Country Club with Courtney
-and have gone to class
Pretty exciting week...I am really looking forward to this upcoming week because Thursday night after class my family and I are leaving to go to the Ozarks for my cousin's wedding. And since I dont get to have much of a summer this year...I am treating this like my vacation. Which I tremedously need!!
Last night was such a blast!! Erica, Callie, Kelsey and I all went out with E's sister Lauren and some of her friends. We went to the Chocolate Bar in St. Louis and had a ball! Even though I loveeee chocolate. This was a bit of an overload! Because we had such a big group we ended up outside..and of course it later started raining..but before that we all ordered some type of chocolate drink...I got the milk chocolate martini..which I thought was very delicious! Kelsey and Callie got the same but neither really cared for it. Then we all ordered desert! YUMMM!! I chose the banana chocolate crepe!! It was so good!! By the end of the evening we were all so stuffed with chocolate it was difficult to move.

Tests and Homework...I thought it was SUMMER??
I would really have to kick my own butt right now for trying to take 3 summer courses. I am really overwhelemed with how ridiculous this IS course is!! I just finished bull shitting my full 4 page movie review for tomorrow on Bridesmaids. Yeah the movie was good...but I seriously dont know how I just typed out four pages on it?? Its one thing to have your students do a movie review, 2 pages maximum I would understand, but four FULL pages and deductions will be accounted for if not the full length?!? My GOSH! Dont they know its summer??
Along with more school, I had to take the Illinois Content Test on Saturday. Lets just say I felt extremely dumb after walking out of there. I felt that most of those questions were not even remotely relevant to teaching elementary-middle school students! Hopefully I will pass and wont have to take it again... Also on Saturday I had my cousin's graduation party. It was all the way in Aviston, IL which I never realized was that far out, and to top it off, it was outside. Which was very very warm. Sunday I had my other cousin's grad party but that one wasnt nearly as hot, there was at least somewhat of a breeze yesterday.
Today I was the choufer (sp?) for my brother and neighbor...and its starting to sound like today is not going to be the only day for it. Summer school at the high school started, so I took my brother in for class, then went walking with Cal. Afterwards I went to pick up Cale, we went to get lunch, and then picked up Paige. Whew! I cannot wait until the lil bro gets his license so he can start running me around! :)

Summer Time!
After the weather today, its definintely feeling like summer. It was nearly a high of 98 degrees today! Whew thats hot!! I have been pretty busy these past couple days. After class on Thursday I booked it home to get ready for the Cardinal game with E. Even though the Cards lets us down AGAIN and lost, it was a pretty fun evening! Erica and I bought the cutest Cardinal hats and got to catch up on everything that has been going on lately.
Erica and I in our new hats!
the stadium at night
I started off today by going to Zumba, I hadnt been since I did the Zumbathon and it really kicked my butt. I love it so much although I wish I could fit it into my schedule more often. I got asked to go to the game again tonight, but I had to work until 5-5:30 so I wasnt able to. Oh well it probably would have been really hot!! Instead, when I came home my parents were getting ready to take my grandpa's jeep out for a ride. So I tagged along and we decided to drive along the River Road and ended up eating at the Loading Dock in Grafton! It was really a lot of fun!!
On the way there, wind wasnt so bad then
Mom and I at the Loading Dock
Cale and I on the ride back! Right after I almost lost my hat!
The rest of this weekend consists of taking the Illinois Content test tomorrow and graduation parties and homework somewhere in there.

Yay for Wednesday!
Today was pretty eventful. I got up early to go walking with Callie at 9. Im really starting to enjoy this walking thing...it makes me feel so refreshed throughout the day. After our walk I ran some quick errands and stopped by Erica's house to sit outside for a bit with her and her sister. I then booked it over to Sunset to lay out with Courtney. Then I came home to get ready and head to work. And after work I met up with E's family for dinner. Haha definitely a jam packed day!! Now I am blogging waiting for C to get off work so I can head over there to see him. Bahh I hate the shift he is on right now.
Tomorrow I have class from 1-5...which blows..and then E invited me to go to the Cardinal Game tomorrow night with her. Even though baseball can get pretty boring, I do enjoy going to at least one Card's game every year. Especially when I get to wear my Victoria's Secret PINK Card's shirt :)
