WARNING: Construction Zone

We have been doing some upgrades to our house and let me tell you it sucks.. It sucks living in such a mess! Don't get me wrong I knew what I was getting myself into, but man oh man. It's so hard not to just scream for this type a, ocd girl! 

In the middle of doing our floors, the hubs and I decided to refinish our kitchen cabinets. I am so pleased with the outcome but it was such a process. 

The old oak just wasn't cutting it for us anymore.

Sadly our floors still arnt complete but they have transformed our house tremendously!

New year, New updates

 Our plans for New Years Eve got kaboshed when C got home late Thursday evening. Which was okay because we got to spend some quality time together. Friday was New Years Day and we had the itch to get some stuff done around the house. So we headed to Lowes and gathered our materials. 

We got the things we need to sand and paint our kitchen cabinets within the next week as well as a few light options. 

The first light that C had done was our dining room light. I love the way it looks so much better than the fan that was there before. 

Friday we did our entryway light and hall light. 

Yesterday we started our stair banister and rail. We sanded everything down and stained it a darker color. I am so happy with the way it has turned out so far!

I am so excited to be getting some updates done around our house! We are getting our floors put in next week so it has pushed us to get some other stuff done in the meantime. I can't wait to see the finished product of everything!
